Nugget, Stevie Chicks, Miss Prissy, and Onyx came to Oasis at three months old. The chicks needed more room to roam than their previous home. Oasis converted a storage shed to a chicken coop and attached an enclosed pen to keep the birds safe from hawks and other predators. They have comfortable nesting boxes to roost and lay their eggs, as well as enjoy the outdoors in a fenced enclosure topped with a net to keep predators away. They love to peck and scratch at the ground for the crushed corn and seed treats.
