Sue Geers has been surrounded by animals since birth. She grew up on a dairy farm, and her best friend was a Holstein heifer named Gemini. She was a skilled equestrian by the age of nine, and horseback riding is still her favorite pastime.
Susan has an undergraduate degree in History and Sociology, and a Master’s Degree in business (MBA), with an insurance and risk management major. She is currently a Vice President in the Admiral Insurance Group, a Berkeley Company. She plans to retire at the end of the year and devote her time to animal rescue and Oasis.
A supporter of Oasis for fifteen years, Sue brings an assortment of animal care skills to the group. She is proficient in equine care and behavior, has experience in dog training, and has socialized many cats. Her skills and animal knowledge will be a tremendous help at the facility.
Recently widowed, Susan shares her home with her two dogs and five cats. She began her position of Board Member for The Oasis Animal Sanctuary, Inc. on May 9, 2018.
