Susan Geers

Sue Geers has been surrounded by animals since birth. She grew up on a dairy farm, and her best friend was a Holstein heifer named Gemini. She was a skilled equestrian by the age of nine, and horseback riding is still her favorite pastime.
Susan has an undergraduate degree in History and Sociology, and a Master’s Degree in business (MBA), with an insurance and risk management major. She retired from her position as Vice President in the Admiral Insurance Group, a Berkeley Company. She devotes much of her time to animal rescue and volunteering at Oasis, especially interacting with the horses on a daily basis.
A supporter of Oasis for fifteen years, Sue brings an assortment of animal care skills to the group. She is proficient in equine care and behavior, has experience in dog training, and has socialized many cats. Her skills and animal knowledge are a tremendous help at the facility.
Susan shares her home with her dog and cats. She began her position of Board Member for The Oasis Animal Sanctuary, Inc. on May 9, 2018.
